Delivering a state-of-the-art Performing Arts Centre

This is the most ambitious campaign in the history of our school, and we know that with your help we can achieve our target

We seek your support to ensure that we can build the Centre to a high specification, transforming the teaching, learning and performance experience for students and audiences. We want to make the arts accessible to an unserved community and enrich the lives of many. We can only do this with your help. Fundraising will ensure that we can equip the Centre with enhanced features. The building highlights include:

A flexible spacious auditorium with excellent acoustics, lighting and seating for up to 340
Comfortable retractable tiered seating so audiences can see and performers can have a greater experience
A retractable sound proof moveable wall for maximum functionality of the auditorium and studio
Dedicated control room for theatre technicians and students to operate sound and lighting
Computerised console to programme and control technical equipment
High-quality audio-visual equipment required for cinema screenings, lectures and conferences
Large dance/drama studio fully equipped with mirrors, ballet barres and sprung-flooring
Technical gantry to safely access light rigging, speakers and other stage equipment

Storage space for drama costumes, props, instruments
Dressing rooms/green rooms with showers
Light contemporary double height foyer area for exhibitions and showcase events
Refreshment area for entertaining Balcony overlooking the foyer area
Outdoor amphitheatre for summer outside events
Two multi-function spaces for use as classrooms, rehearsal rooms and dressing rooms
A large seminar room
Energy free windcatcher ventilation for the auditorium, studio and seminar room and low-energy heat recovery systems in other areas of the building
