Robert Welch Competition

We're running a student design competition in conjunction with the internationally renowned, locally based company, Robert Welch Designs. The brief given to our students was to create a design, featuring Robert Welch cutlery.  that could be made into a sculpture for the Performing Arts Centre foyer. We had over six hundred entries thanks to the enthusiasm of our Art Department and talented students. Over thirty of the best ideas were on display in the Town Hall at our recent Open Day, and the next round of judging will be on 6th March. Tasked with a tough choice, our panel of judges are: from Robert Welch Designs - Alice Welch, Managing Director and Kit deBretton Gordon, Head of Design. Chipping Campden School Principal, John Sanderson; Lord Mayor of Chipping Campden, Michael Allchin, and Royal Shakespeare Company actor Edward Bennett, our Campaign Ambassador.

The image shows some of the shortlisted designs from our students. Once a winning design has been selected, it will be turned into a sculpture and be unveiled at our opening ceremony next year. If you are interested in supporting turning the winning idea into a beautiful sculpture, please contact the Campaign Team to discuss.
